Similar to the hardware solution, the software solution ensures robust fault tolerance through a fast-switch mechanism for immediate failover from secondary to primary mode during a fault. At the same time, the secondary master sniffs frames from the bus to maintain actual data synchronization, guaranteeing a seamless and immediate takeover. So, this significantly increases fault tolerance and reduces downtime of the system.
