The latest update of KPA EtherCAT Master 2 for Linux Arm32, version 2.6.606, has been released to offer the users a more seamless and efficient experience.
In comparison to version 2.5.28702, this latest version introduces the following improvements:
- Remote access to license file
Ability of applying a license file that is stored on a remote PC. - EEPROM request execution timeout
A possibility to set a maximum time of EEPROM request execution has been added. The value is set as the ss.eeprom.request_timout INI parameter. - Licensing policy change
Starting from September 2023 we have disabled possibility to bind all new KPA licenses to USB Flash drives. As an alternative, for “portable” licenses we suggest using secure Software protection system (with TDI Matrix USB dongle) provided by KPA.
The changes will not affect the already generated license keys bound to USB Flash drives, they will work as before until reactivation would be needed (e.g. in case of hardware failure or loss).
Binding new “portable” licenses is possible only using KPA Software protection system.
