KPA Motion Control Development Kit 1.16 released

A new version of MoDK has been deployed. We are excited to announce the release of KPA MoDK version 1.16, which brings a range of new features and improvements to the Motion Control Development Kit (MoDK):

  • API Kit Enhancements
In this release, we have separated the API kit into dedicated parts for common, drive, and simulation functionalities.
  • G-Code Parser Support
KPA MoDK 1.16 introduces support for G-code parsing, which enables utilizing G-code files as input for the KMC_FbMovePath function. This simplifies the integration of G-code based motion paths into user applications.
  • New Function Block: MC_GroupSetPosition
We have implemented a new function block, MC_GroupSetPosition, which allows developers to set the position of a group of axes simultaneously.
  • Compatibility with KPA EtherCAT Master 2.x
KPA MoDK 1.16 now supports KPA EtherCAT Master 2.x, ensuring compatibility with the latest version of our EtherCAT Master software.
  • Bug Fixes
    • Resolved an error that occurred when using MC_MoveContinuousAbsolute with the ‘BlendingNext’ buffer mode.
    • Fixed a synchronization error that manifested after master or slave axes movement in KMC_FbCamIn.
