KPA EtherCAT Master for Linux x64 is now available in its latest release 1.8.2002. Compared to the previous version 1.8.802, this update introduces several enhancements aimed at optimizing performance and functionality.
- Implementation of the TLS and SSL protocols with Mbed TLS
EtherCAT Master now utilizes Mbed TLS for the implementation of TLS and SSL protocols, replacing OpenSSL. - Multimaster improvements
The following enchancements have been implemented to improve the Multimaster feature:- From now on the only configurations specified in EtherCAT Master INI file are accepted as valid EtherCAT Master configurations. If the configuration that is used to create a EtherCAT Master instance is not specified in the Masters parameter, new error code will be returned – 0X804A.
- Thread parameters values in INI file inherit values from the default KPAMaster configuration, if thread parameters are not set in current configuration.
