KPA EtherCAT Studio 2 released
It’s our pleasure to introduce the latest update of KPA EtherCAT Studio 2, version 2.14.1414.0, aimed to improve our tool and provide our users with stable and efficient software. This release includes the following improvements:
- Diagnostic output control improvement
The output control component has been refactored with performance optimizations, message type filtering is now fully functional. Category-based grouping is introduced for better User experience. - Improvement of parsing and handling of SoE initialization commands from ESI files
The logic of parsing has been refined to ensure that all relevant SoE commands are now properly recognized and included in the ENI during configuration generation. - EEPROM Editor enhancement
The EEPROM Editor functionality has been extended. Writing to empty EEPROMs is now fully supported, and EEPROM operations (read/write) can be performed independently without attaching a Master, enabling more flexible workflows. - Scan procedure optimization
The scanning logic has been refactored to first perform a basic device discovery, then identify modular devices, and subsequently load or read their module information. This new approach improves scanning reliability and overall performance.
