The EtherCAT Master has been enhanced with the latest release. KPA EtherCAT Master for INtime has been updated to version 1.8.1002.
This latest update, in comparison to version 1.6.56308, introduces the following improvements:
- Licensing improvement
Third-party licensing components have been updated. - Licensing policy change
Starting from September 2023 we have disabled possibility to bind all new KPA licenses to USB Flash drives. As an alternative, for “portable” licenses we suggest using secure Software protection system (with TDI Matrix USB dongle) provided by KPA.
The changes will not affect the already generated license keys bound to USB Flash drives, they will work as before until reactivation would be needed (e.g. in case of hardware failure or loss).
Binding new “portable” licenses is possible only using KPA Software protection system.
